January 25, 20215 yr Commercial Member Like to add some parked aircraft to a certain airport. I did try Where Are My Aircraft but it will not connect to Steam FSX. Is there another program or software that would let me do this ? Paul Grubich 2017 - Professional texture artist painting virtual aircraft I love. January 26, 20215 yr I use Airport Design Editor, works great with my boxed FSX Accel install. With the Steam Edition of FSX, you will have to download and install the FSX SP2 Software Developers Kit and manually point ADE to the SDK file. January 28, 20215 yr I'm going to do the same. Just tried to add an a/c at KBFI. I added an AIGAIM model and it appears at the defined place but w/o any texture (black). How can I choose a particular texture. Have not found where I could enter it in ADE. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
January 29, 20215 yr Try placing a copy of the model's texture in the "textures" folder in your KBFI scenery folder. Hi warbirds, The easy way will be using ADE Airport design editor, just Google it, I remember the software was free on their website, you have some static aircraft that are included in the software and they can be placed easily. There are Many tutorials on YouTube for this software. Another way will be editing the AFCAD with an unlinked parking spot with parking code for that specific AI aircraft and then make a AI flightplan, that will make the aircraft appear parked at all times. This allow you to make any AI aircraft, static.
