January 29, 20215 yr To misquote Basil Fawlty: "Don't mention the war!" Our Austrian-based friend (LOWG) could have just as easily flown a Lancaster over Dresden, or visited a few "water retaining walls" (bloody WNA censor ) with a spinning bomb. Or even taken an He-111 for a sortie over London.. perhaps a B-29 over the Japanese mainland....?? What should he say? These are historic military aircraft used for one purpose in a decade-gone war (gone but never forgotten!) involved in horrific acts from all of the combatants.. I recently undertook a flight in the sim from the Azores to NYC in an Me264. I mentioned "photo reconnaissance" I believe, but the 264 was design for one purpose - to nuke the eastern seaboard of the USA...granted the real sortie never came to fruition, and my flight was a "what-if", but the plane did exist in real life (Amerika Bomber) Mark Robinson Part-time Ferroequinologist Author of FLIGHT: A near-future short story (ebook available on amazon) I made the baby cry - A2A Simulations L-049 Constellation Sky Simulations MD-11 V2.2 Pilot. January 30, 20215 yr In my opinion this forum should be free from any form of politic and sensitive topics. We are here about flying. I have nothing against war birds as i fly them 90% of my time. Only questionable is why to touch that string, especially in the light of historic facts. Artur
