My Coronado Seminole Twin disappeared. - SOLVED

Featured Replies

I can't see my Twin engine from Coronado any more. I saw an update for it which I thought I downloaded within the MSFS. But I don't see it any more. But its in my downloaded list. I tried deleting it. so I can redownload. But It doesn't remove it from the list either.

Any idea how I can solve this issue?

David Copperfield moonlights as a silent developer for Carenado.

Very odd. You have done all the obvious things like restarting the PC and clearing the community folder I assume ?

If you go to dev mode and open the Plane Selection window while flying something else does it show up in the list ?

Nope.. it doesn't It was while doing that when I found thatI did not see that twin.

BTW. I found the folder for the Seminole within one store. I have backed it up.

Can I delete it and see if I can reinstall?

It should be under C for Carenado.

No idea about deleting the folder, probably safe.

One other thing to try is log out of the windows store and also the xbox game utility program and log back in.  Sometimes that resets things.

The delete folder and re download seems to have worked. I now see it there. 🙂

Thanks Glenn. 🙂

I probably should have tried rebooting my Win10. I have not done it in a while.  🙂

This occurred with me too a while back after I tried to update it. I binned the folder and restarted everything then reinstalled it and all was well, but there is definitely something they need to sort out, we should not have to be doing that kind of stuff to fix things for them. Not everyone is happy to mess about with files.

Before I did the delete folder surgery, I ought to have rebooted the machine to see if that would have fixed it. I have issues resolved by just rebooting my machine prior times. My impatience got the better of me. 🙂

Well, I can tell you that when this occurred with me, a reboot did not sort it out. Nor did restarting the sim, and neither did numerous in-sim attempts to sort it via installing and/or updating it. The only way to fix it was to manually bin it all off from the folders to remove all trace of it, and then restart, and then install it again. So I'm guessing it would have been the same for you and anyone else who has had this.

The problem was triggered by attempting to update it because the sim reported there was an update available, so why wouldn't you? Thus it's clearly an issue with the way it handles that update; I've seen numerous people report this problem and most of them have had to do this kind of thing to fix it.

Had you opened the folder for the Seminole you would have seen that all the LOCPAC files were missing.  It happened to me so I deleted the file restarted MSFS and went back to Content.  Reloaded it and it was done.  Why the files disappeared is the question.
