February 7, 20215 yr Anyone tried this yet ? The drag chute and changeable loadout on the hard points look like nice features and the modelling looks good. https://secure.simmarket.com/sim-skunk-works-fiat-aeritalia-g-91-for-msfs-2020.phtml Found a review video: Edited February 8, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
February 7, 20215 yr Yes! No time for a full review, but I like it, and love the way you can change the loadout on the fly with the app included. Changing to large tanks affects the weight and balance instantly, the textures are great with lots of repaints coming along, PAN (Frecce Tricolori) version due, sounds are good, not a framerate hog, and other updates and improvements are in the works. The developer seems responsive (he has already posted updated flight dynamics over on the MSFS forum) and I think it is worth the money. Edited February 7, 20215 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I notice some flicker in the gauges at 4:15 in the review video, which might of course just be in the reviewers settings or recording software. Do you get that ?

Do you get that ? I will check.... Right, I think I know what it is. I didn't have this issue, and I moved the time of day around, and still no flicker. Then when I took her up and threw her around a bit, around 2pm, I had some of those flickering shadows crawl across the cockpit. As the flickering shadow hit the turn sync ball, that part of the gauge flickered/flashed white until I moved the shadow off it. Strange, but I couldn't get it on the bottom of the attitude indicator as she had it. I think the flickering shadow thing is an Asobo problem, but maybe some gauge textures react badly to it in the G-91. If I log in on the official MSFS G-91 forum, I will note it, as the developer is very reactive on there. Just to add, I think it is a great plane though with still some good things coming for it. I like it better than the MB339 up to now. Edited February 8, 20215 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). February 8, 20215 yr Author I am restricting myself to one new aircraft this week so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place here ... should I buy :. - the Piaggo P149 which I probably will fly more often but is somewhat similar to my Mooney and the Rob Young Turbo Bonanza and my Jabiru's I already own OR - this Fiat G91 which is the most interesting of the military jets to come out so far (though I would still love to see a CAC Avon powered Sabre) and I do not own a military jet yet in MSFS, but also this is an aircraft I might well fly less than the P149 Hard decision, too many tempting choices 😄 Edited February 8, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
February 8, 20215 yr Sorry Glenn, there is no way round it - both are pretty good and will be updated to even better standard soon. I have both and I really like them. I would also love a Sabre. Hopefully someone will do the whole range from the prototype down to the later Commonwealth models. I would buy them all, and just think of the colours on them - schemes from all around the world! February 11, 20215 yr I just uploaded these two:jk1201jk1182 completely imaginary, but maybe you'll enjoy them anyway? All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

Look good will definitely download 😄 The Netherlands one is actually feasible the G91 was proposed as a universal NATO joint purchase and some 770 were built, flying with France, Portugal and Italy as well as under evaluation by Greece and Turkey and being assessed by the US army and US Airforce. The Australian version is a bit less likely, but also possible as they had just retired their Australian built CAC Avon Sabers which used an Aden variant of the DEFA revolving 30mm cannon fitted to the G91 and throughout the 1960's were flying DEFA revolving 30mm equipped Dassault Mirage IIIs.
