MSFS Live Weather Issue + Terrain Looks Bland After Update

Featured Replies

Is it just me or has something changed?  Live weather does not work even if using the "Clear Skies" workaround and the terrain and autogen looks really sparse.  I have cleared out my community folder of all 3rd party sceneries and the sim still looks terrible.  The rolling cache is active.

Weather bug is still alive on 2nd flight however I think the sim is looking rather beautiful now.

The last SimUpdate reduced the LOD drastically so you are correct....sim now looks worse with an obvious ring of trees and objects loading in around you including even the lights at night.  I have no had any issues with the Live WX any more then usual....but it actually has always worked pretty well for me.  If you aren't having any severe FPS and stutter issues since the most recent update...consider yourself lucky!!

After the last update photogrammetry was turned off for me. I was also wondering what was happening turned it back on and all is normal. Hopefully this solves your problem.

Live weather for me here in the U.S. has always been and is currently hit or miss.  About 50/50.  I have tried jumping through all the hoops that have been posted and nothing is getting me even consistently fair results.  When I am flying real-time real-weather on a flight I have scheduled, usually to a current sports event, I am flying back in FSX SE with AS16. Especially if flying IFR.

Thanks, good to know. I just noticed that live traffic is not working either so there must be a server/data issue on their end. I have submitted a Zendesk request.
