March 17, 20215 yr I have heard it is possible to have gauges pop up and moved around; could someone confirm that this is true, and if so please explain or share how this is accomplished. Thanks in advance. Robin
March 17, 20215 yr Hold ALT GR (Right Alt key) and then left click the screen you want to pop out, not sure if this works with analogue gauges Edited March 17, 20215 yr by ckyliu ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

Had the sim from day one, never knew of this feature till I saw mention of it over at the Just Flight forums. Robin

I assume it might of been coded that way in case there was an operational reason to click on a screen to set some kind of value, such as with a touch screen. You would not want making display changes with the mouse to also pop-out the screen. These pop-outs seem to be limited to glass screens -- PFD and MFD screens, GPS screens, Transponder display screens, etc. It is also worth noting these screen pop-outs are not the same as the 'true' 2D gauge pop-outs in FSX or P3D. The 2D gauge pop-outs typically include the associated controls. These MSFS screen pop-outs are just that -- you only get the screen. You don't 'get' the associated control knobs or buttons that you use to make changes in what is shown on the display. So, for example, if you pop-out a GPS screen and put it on a second monitor, you will still have to use the VC panel mounted GPS control knobs to adjust the GPS. Al Edited March 18, 20215 yr by ark
March 18, 20215 yr Putting displays on a second monitor (even the VFR map) does come with some frame rate hit so not something to do in scenarios where you are already struggling for FPS. If you have good frames though it is very handy.
