Never got the point of buying military jets in civilian sims, especially when something like DCS is available.

Well who said it's a civilian sim?? It's a sim... Yes, DCS is way better for miitary jets, I agree on this. But we don't have the whole real word there. A military jet is still an aircraft able to go from point A to point B, taking off, using vor, ILS, landing, and etc. Yes, in DCS, the aircrafts are way more realistic about navigation, instuments and etc, I agree on this too. But the future can make the things better about it, I guess. Some people like to fly GA, some others likes Heavy and why some others can't like military, even in MSFS? Regards 🙂

I consider it a civilian sim because, as far as I know, it is not possible to setup realistic combat scenarios and use advanced weaponry.

In any case, if someone has fun flying an F16 from EGLL to EDDF, that is fine. It is just not my cup of tea.

I sometimes wish I was in a F16 when flying from EGLL to EDDF...less hassle with passengers missing their connecting flights because of the long queue at the runway in Heathrow 😂...well that hasn´t really been a problem in the last year, though.

Military jets aren't always flying combat missions or firing weaponry, just as passenger jets aren't always carrying passengers, bush aircraft aren't always flying bush trips and 747s aren't taking off from aircraft carriers. It's a sim but it doesn't mean it has to simulate real life all the time.😉

I've watched an RAF Hawk doing an approach and go at EGPH (long since stopped being a military base) and C17s and A400Ms doing circuits of the airport - you can absolutely replicate those scenarios without needing a military-based sim.

As long as you get out of the sim what gives you pleasure, it's all good (as you said in your own words). 🙂

F16V got another update, HUD is clear now,  afterburner with fire like F15,  this plane is getting updated pretty fast.  I flew in rain today, the rain effects are good.   This plane is super fun to fly.  Other than having the Garmin displays, but at least they are functional, and the moving map works with programmed flight plan so you can find your way,

Chock, its time for a good youtube on it, its a really good plane now.
