Decided to try the Carenado B1900D in P3Dv5 and while I can see the gauges in the VC, the inside of the VC is transparent.  Is there a way to remedy this?

You will have reinstall the airplane, selecting P3DV4, and browsing to your P3DV5 folder.  What you are seeing is Carenado's copy protection in action.

Thank you.  I simply copied the folder from P3Dv4 to P3Dv5.  I've emailed Carenado for additional downloads.  Guess I've exhausted my downloads, though I only remember downloading it once.

If you go to your Carenado account, you should find the download there.

Copying from V4 to V5 does not work for Carenado planes, as you have found out.. 🙂

Thank you again.  I had forgotten that one can download from the account and was simply trying the link I received in the purchase email.  I was able to download and install it.  All is well.  Thank you for your help.

I have the same problem but the only option is V2?

Not sure I understand... if you have the same problem, you must have been able to install it.. or did you copy a P3DV2 plane to P3DV4?  In which case, you may have to buy the P3DV4 version.

Installed it. (I had a complete drive crash and started from scratch again) - the issues is the transparent airframe

Its installed on a separate drive (as is P3D)

You will have to explain in more detail... what did you "install".. and did you try a freshly downloaded copy?

I have absolutely no idea about what you are running into... what does this mean: "but the only option is V2?"

If you would like someone to help you, you have to explain your situation.. 🙂

In the installer the only only option is V2, not V3 or V4 or V5.

Sorry, I though that was clear.

In case I wonder what you bought... Does the product state that it supports P3DV4?

I have always purchased Carenado airplanes from Carenado (directly)..

Normally I do as well, except this one time from sim market.

The installer is the same as I had from before (I save most everything worthwhile) 

On the carenado site - one place says V2 and other says V4? This is version 1.0 "reseller" 

I am sure there is an update or for V4 (64bit) or a better installer. Somehow I had it working for 6 years though.

It now is working perfectly except for the GTN. 

I seem to remember years ago you had 3 tweaks for this plane you sent me?

Those tweaks date back to FSX (2014).. I can send you a copy if you send me your email address via PM..
