January 13, 200719 yr I get this pretty much with every display setting I have tried. It is very annoying - FS9 did not have this. I don't want to purchase 3rd party mesh/landclass or whatever to get rid of this...MS should fix this.Any tips on how to remove these lines ?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/165058.jpgThanks gents.

January 13, 200719 yr Try and set AA and AF to 4 on the video card, but make sure it's unchecked in the game.Set the tril. filter in the game. It's a start.
January 13, 200719 yr more accurate shorelines installed on top of less accurate (default?) ones without excluding the latter
January 13, 200719 yr Hi,What area is this? There are some areas of FSX where there are known coastline errors, even with a default installation. This may be one of the areas.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
January 13, 200719 yr Follow the coast line NNW from LYTV.. Try it...Let us know what you see. Thanks.
January 14, 200719 yr Hi,They are coastlines that did not get removed. In fact, if you go to that location and slew down and pause, you can watch the waves break on either side of the line. Thanks, Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
January 14, 200719 yr Thanks Jim. Excuse my dumb moment but who should have removed the coastlines ? Me ? MS ? Are you guys seeing the same thing ? If you are I will just forget about it - but if not I would like to fix it.Thanks again.
January 14, 200719 yr Hi,MS, and you are free to drop them an e-mail.Again, yes I see them in the same area as you are.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
January 14, 200719 yr Yes, its in the UK too. It's seaweed and debris, it does show, when looked at from above. Check out Google Earth. ;-) Dave Taylor
January 14, 200719 yr >It's seaweed and debris, it does show, Well, I know that particular area very well and this stuff does not show. What are the chances of mother nature having such straight lines..?Thanks for th efeedback guys. At least I know this is a flaw of the FSX display engine ( or whatever ).
January 15, 200719 yr Hi,"this is a flaw of the FSX display engine" The display engine isn't the culprit, but the Land/Water mask data for that area is. And, yes, you should let Aces know as they may wish to include such corrections in the first update. We can only hope that will be the case, but I think it more likely that such ammendments may be deferred until the forthcoming 'Performance' update is out of the way.Mike
