Is Lightning Still a Thing?

The lightnings, the absence of decent weather briefings, the incomplete weather loading are really frustrating but the base is here.

LOL! So then what good is the base?  Like eating spaghetti with nothing on it....

I wonder if the people in the Southern hemisphere have noticed a decrease in the lightning and thunder.

It may be a bit less and it's the middle of winter here. I often fly around the Cape Town area and thunderstorms simply never happen here. Once or twice a year you may hear or see a few flashes but that's it.

Just took off from Chambery for a morning flight to Nice and there were flashes of lightning all over the place as you‘d expect on a beautiful summer morning 😂. It‘s certainly better than a few months ago when you had lightning as soon as there was a single cloud in the sky, but I have the impression that it‘s got slightly worse again over the last couple of weeks. Could also be coincidence though.

Same for me.  I think it might be because it is summer in the Northern hemisphere.  From launch until Winter last year I had this problem, during Winter it went away (only to be replaced by the terrible icing).  It is almost as if whenever the games sees clouds, heat and a certain humidity, boom, thunderstorm.  I wonder if the people in the Southern hemisphere have noticed a decrease in the lightning and thunder.

Nothing to do with seasons or hemispheres. I fly the world over and have these silly flashes everywhere and way too often to the point that it is ludicrous.
