It looks like FS-ATC-Chatter is opening the correct database. Mark
December 14, 20214 yr Are you sure you had tuned a frequency that is shown in the list of ATC stations?
December 14, 20214 yr yes, have tuned those manually even before on older version of P3D i did not have to Artur
December 14, 20214 yr Can you post a screenshot of your settings, specifically the Radios settings page? Edited December 14, 20214 yr by rcarlson1971
December 16, 20214 yr i have installed Q400 and ATC works fine, checked also with PMDG737, which previously was not working with 'out of range' info, and now also works as it should. Strange, but all in all good news 🙂 Artur
December 16, 20223 yr I have to say I continue to be confused (easy the older I get) but my question, why is it necessary to update a COM database? Do frequencies regularly change at airports? Do frequencies regularly change at airports? FS-ATC-Chatter ships with a COM database that closely matches FS2020. That said, people can install custom scenery and MS may have updates to existing scenery that might change the COM frequencies at the airport, If the two sets of COM frequencies don't match FS-ATC-Chatter may think you are tuned to a facility that is not near your aircraft. This is particularly critical when FS2020's ATC is telling you what to tune to. Frequencies are airports do not change very often but scenery designers may have based the airports on old or erroneous data. The other challenge is there is not a great source of data for center frequencies and their transmitter locations outside the U.S. Hard to tell how scenery developers are coming up with those across the world.
