June 7, 20214 yr No, I moved up to a Volkswagen Beetle back in 1967 and still have it (true). But I must confess I also have a new Honda in the garage to keep it company 🙂. The reason I say that about driver changes, especially GPU drivers, is that folks seem to be changing drivers just to have "the latest" and, hopefully, "the best". And 90+% of the time new drivers aren't needed at all. I firmly believe that unless there is a known reason to change a driver it's a waste of time doing it. And you always run the risk of screwing up something in the process. To each his own but I've been at this for too many years to think that "hoping it will help" is a valid reason for doing much of anything. Though the exception can be for the newest cards out. Without breaking current ways of doing things, we'd be in real trouble. The new way to make a vaccine (MRNA) was a great example of breaking what wasn't broke (normal successful vaccine development).
