June 4, 20215 yr Ok, having said in another thread that I wasn't that excited about mountains I thought I really ought to have another go. So this is setting off from XX27 ( https://flightsim.to/file/14943/dz-savoie-helicopteres ) to LFHZ And this flight didn't change my mind. Maybe it's the vertical faces that are usually so badly represented that puts me off, maybe it's a mesh issue, but whatever it is, it's not an environment I get much joy from. Shame really, it means I don't get to enjoy places like LOWI as much as it merits. Back to So-Cal! Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
June 4, 20215 yr I was not impressed by most of the Alpine areas I flew in MFS. The mesh can be a little coarse and the imagery colors are often off and the resolution so so. As I remember this is the case around LOWI, I gave up a flight after a few minutes a couple of months ago. June 5, 20214 yr Then XP 11 and Frank Dainese' s mountain sceneries might be worth a try ... Intel core i5-12600KF, ASRock B760-H2/M2, Kingston DDR5-4800 32 GB, Asus Geforce RTX 4060 TI 16GB, Samsung SSD 980 1 TB M.2 SSD, Lexar NM790 SSD 2TB
June 5, 20214 yr I think the additional mesh from TO will help address those issues, Andy. And if not, you'll always have miles upon miles of corn fields to explore in rural America 😄😄 Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
