FBW A320neo DEV: Throttlle issue with Bravo quadrant

Featured Replies

Hi folks,
For a week or so I have a problem with the dev version of the FBW A320.

Throttle travel now covers the entire throttle movement, including Reverse.
When I install the stable version, the throttle stops as it should, at zero, and when I want to use the Rev, I normally use the two
Thrust Reversers to unlock it.
Any idea?

Did you calibrate your throttles via the A32NX EFB?

Sorry to hijack the tread but I search google but can't find the answer to this.   I notice from watching YT videos with the FBW A320Neo, the MCDU used in connection with Simbrief you can load all the info from SimBrieif  with a "Init Request" on the RS2 of the MCDU.  I don't have this option at all.

I did sync my Simbief username with the AOC in the option menu and it work well with the Payload and W&B. However, on the MCDU Init page the "Init Request" is not there on my version of the FBW A320Neo.  I tried both the Stable version from the Marketplace and then I uninstalled that version and installed the Developer version as well but still that option is not there.  Is there a reason why? note, the only thing I can think of is that I don't have a subscription to Navigraph yet, could that be it?

Navigraph is not the reason why because i don't have a navigraph subscription and it works perfectly.

My suggestion. Uninstall the marketplace version go to flybywire and then use their installer and install the stable version. With their installer you are ensured to have the latest stable version available and may fix the issue you may have.

Also. I always start the flight cold and dark at the stands and not on the runway

Thanks Maxis, I'll try your suggestions tomorrow.   Much appreciate the reply and help!

Thanks again!

Just an edit to my post and issue.   Just found out what the issue Re:"Init Request" option not showing up on the MCDU Init Page.  I joined the FBW Discord and searching there found out the reason why I was not getting the "Init Request" option.   I was using the MSFS World Flight Planner. I used the MSFS flight planner because I wanted to use MSFS's ATC as well.   So, if you want the "Init Request" option to show-up on the MCDU Init Page,  don't use the MSFS planner together with the Simbrief link.  Now I know why I was having issues with double waypoints on my flight plan page on the MCDU as well. I tested it without using MSFS's planner and had no double waypoints.    All is good!.  Had a nice test flight from KATL to KFLL with no issues.  This A320Neo is going to be real nice!

Lol i never thought someone would actually set up two flight plans but i guess that was the issue and im glad you got it resolved. So to get ATC to work with the simbrief only flight plan all you need to to is start up cold and dark set up the aircraft... import the flight plan into the mcdu then pull up the ATC menu and request IFR clearance. The ATC will recognize your flight that you loaded in the mcdu. The only caveat is that it will probably NOT INITIALLY  clear you to the intended cruise altitude in the flight plan. You will have to request flight level increases up to your desired cruise from ATC but after that and you have established cruise  ATC will (in most cases) get you down for approach from whatever cruise FL from with no major issue.

Moving from the default NEO to the FBW has been a decent learning process and a very satisfying experience. Cant wait for them to add more features. Really amazing group!

lol, I know what you mean. Yea, I'm still new to this..😂

Thanks for the info on how to run it with ATC. Much appreciated!  Yea, these guys (FBW Group) are very talented.  The amount of work these guys are putting into this A320Neo is amazing! I really do appreciate what they are doing for the Sim community.

Thanks again Maxis!
