Volumetric Cloud Settings in ASP3D

Featured Replies

What volumetric cloud settings are you using in ASP3D UI and why?

  1. Volumetric clouds control by Active Sky
  2. Enable detailed EA clouds by Active Sky

Why does active sky need to control these values? What gives you better results?

Thanks!

Shom

In the NGXu I picked up a few spots after departure from EGPF yesterday. It wasn't much but it is there.

I could be wrong (and frequently am...just ask my wife) but the PMDG radar just picks up precipitation not the clouds themselves. So if you're in clouds but there's no precip there won't be anything on the radar.

But you use your own volumentricclouds.cfg setup, don't you? Or are the visuals already better when disabling the AS control over EA clouds already per se? I wonder because I still have it on in AS but I am not totally happy how EA clouds are rendered...
