CTD Honeycomb??

Featured Replies

Never had this before but now when I advance the Honeycomb throttle on any plane CTD. The only thing that changed was I upgraded to the 6/22 release of the Nvidia drivers. I have a 1080 and never had crash?? Any one else?

I have the Honeycomb duo and the latest Nvidia driver (2080 Ti) and have no problems, it must be something else, have you checked if the USB connector from the throttle is properly fitted?

System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

Sometimes USB sockets can be a bit weird with spurious signals. In the past I've had an iffy USB connection for a headphone cause crashes with flight sims (bizarre I know, but it's true), so you might want to try swapping things around a bit in terms of what socket you use and also be sure to have any USB hub you might use also have enough power to not struggle.

Another outside possibility is the new drivers making your CPU and GPU utilise more capability of your system, thus making them draw more power from your PSU and this having a knock on effect with other devices which are powered from a computer connection (i.e. the vast majority of plug in USB stuff), so you might want to ensure your PSU is kicking out enough power for everything.

Keep in mind too that when a problem occurs, even though it occurs at the time you do something specific (in your case updating your drivers), there is the possibility that another problem just happened to occur at the same time as you did that, fooling you into thinking it was definitely the thing you did which was the problem. This can mean you don't consider checking other stuff because you assume it was that thing you did which was definitely the issue, when it might actually be something else which, purely by coincidence, occurred at the same time.

+2  Absolutely zero issues!  Roll back your nVidia driver and report back.  And are you able to document any change to the Honeycomb?

Thanks for the info. I did install the hotfix that is out from nvidia and it stopped for bit abd then started back. I rolled back (using ddu) to the standard driver and it stopped. Where an I get old drivers?

I had an issue with my x52 pro where it would cause a bsd whenever i plugged it in.
