July 12, 20214 yr The T flight HOTAS One is supposed to work with S or X series. As far as I know (somebody can correct me) the S and X versions of Xbox are much different in price only difference is S has half the storage (I think 500 GB instead of 1000) and S is native 1440 p instead of 4K Xbox X). MSFS for Xbox is in 2K for the S version (not 1440p) and full 4K for the X console. The price for MSFS Xbox is $0 is you already own a PC version (I'm pretty sure this is true no matter where you bought the PC version: Steam, box, or MS store). MSFS starting July 27 will have new sensitivity options for using with standard Xbox controllers which can be ignored if you don't want to fly with that controller. I own a Tflight which was designed for the Playstation instead of Xbox, but is very much similar. It is excellent. Stick and Throttle can be separated (on your right and left side) or left joined together. Rudder is controlled either by twist the throttle or if you prefer by 2 very large ears behind the throttle (sometimes called the rocker). With hand on throttle you just also squeeze little finger or right finger to pull one those ears toward your hand to yaw left or right. Stop squeezing and pedals are centered. To me this is much easier to control than a twist set up. I know of nothing else easier for yaw except of course floor pedals. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
July 12, 20214 yr Author TFlight also works on PC. I use Tflight Playstation version also on a laptop for FSX. TFlight HOTAS 3 works with PC and PS3 TFlight HOTAS 4 works with PC and PS4 Tflight HOTAS One works with PC and Xbox S, X, or Xone Tflight Stick X works with PC and PS3 (the stick alone, no throttle) Edited July 12, 20214 yr by Fielder 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. July 12, 20214 yr I've got a TFlight for Xbox Series X but there's a switch on the back you can use to make it work on windows. Not sure if the PS one will work on Xbox. I expect all the buttons are the same but if there's a win/xbox switch then there must be something specific to these two which may preclude PS. Time will tell, of course, but the Xbox one was only about $160 AUD which is fairly small compared with what you're paying for either the Xbox X or S. Can't wait for the 27th to see what it looks like! 😄 Mike Beckwith
July 12, 20214 yr Author Yeah, I edited my reply above. My Tflight HOTAS 3 will not work with the Xbox nor with PS4 or PS5. The HOTAS 3 version is no longer made I think, and hard to find. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Steam version of MSFS does not work with Xbox is my understanding for the one single price like the MS Store version. Jorg has said this many times, as well as others! Jorg has said this many times, as well as others! That's correct. Regardless if you have a Game Pass subscription, or you bought MSFS from the MS Store, the XBOX version will be free to download in both cases. That's not the case if MSFS was bought on Steam. If you want the XBOX version, you'll have to purchase it again from the MS Store, which will then give you access to a second license for PC as well. Might be useful if you want to fly online with your kids, for example. Edited July 12, 20214 yr by virtuali Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook
July 12, 20214 yr Yes, it seems that the, at the time, possible convenience of a Steam purchase versus the same from the MS Store has now given rise to a potentially significant disadvantage if you wish to use the sim on XBOX. Don't think anyone had thought of this when buying the game on release. I was lucky to already have Game Pass Ultimate so the MS Store was a slam dunk choice. I use Steam a lot so without Game Pass might have been in same boat. CJ
