But that is not a V tail plane or ? Nope, the Mooney is pretty well behaved. The V tail Bonanza was twitchy and required you to be active with rudder corrections. It could be lots of "fun" too if you abused it into stall conditions. There's nothing I'm aware of to same A2A realism (e.g. fouling of plugs if you run full rich on the ground) currently. Doesn't mean you can't have a lot of fun though 🙂 Its a personal thing what cockpit views, performance, systems complexity you want. I like that you have to think a bit ahead with the Mooney to get your circuit and approach speeds right. Just don't feel as realistic in some aircraft throwing out flaps and pitching etc at last minute to get down. Lots of videos on the all the aircraft people are suggesting on Youtube to check out. I'm thankful for the glass screen avionics with decent refresh rate in MSFS, BUT.....there's just something about nice steam gauges. p.s. you can't tap the glass on any existing MSFS aircraft like A2A either..... 😞

From a YT review I got the impression that you can disable the GPS but not the modern radios. Or can I disable those also ? A DC6 without at the very least modern radios would not be allowed to fly in Europe with the switch to 8.33kHz spacing so radio upgrades are to all intents and purposes mandatory for flying in the world that MSFS simulates. Flight handling characteristics feel more like the real Jabiru J160 (which I have time in). "Immersive" features like the cabin shake are well tuned on this one (no native cabin shake in FSX/P3D) Sounds (especially engine sounds) are superior Far more panel options; (i) analogue, (ii) Uncertified EFIS (custom), (iii) EFIS (native MSFS), (iv) Native MSFS GX J160 and J170 models in one package (in FSX these were separate purchases). We fly sceneries which reflects rather nicely and faithfully the modern world, vanishing NDB, RNAV etc. It makes all the sense in the world to have vintage aircraft with modern navigation equipments as they have in their present state. What make the Dc-6 great is the engine and flight management not to fumble with a 1950 radio dials. PMDG chose the right mix : the old Sperry gyropilot and modern radio/GPS. I mostly fly with the Bendix to keep the vintage flavor 😃.
