Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

You know me, I'm a fan of the latest electrically powered flying gizmo's. But honestly the Black Fly is the most ridiculous concept there is.

If they sell many of these I'll be stunned. You can't see where you are going half the time and it slams its tail on the ground to land and then rolls on its fat belly till its level.

Bonkers! Bonkers idea and bonkers if they think its a viable idea.

I wish them well of course, but from the man who is very enthusiastic about electric aviation, this one is not for me.

No wonder comments are turned off on YouTube. 😁

while it may look awkward, its still a flying craft that could potentially be operated without a license provided you stay under 400 feet and there are rules governing weight and power as I understand.

What I'd love to have is one of those personal drones that Ive seen on TV that people ride like skateboards in the sky.  How cool is that? imo.

I just found out yesterday that the state I live in requires a motorcycle license even for a class 1 electric assist bike and I found that quite depressing.

Here in Indiana you must first have an automobile license before you can test for a motorcycle endorsement (not a separate license)...

You need this...

@martin-w  I'd take one but that guy looks a bit unstable.  I'd like to see it be able to achieve more forward speed and be more nimble instead of slow and wobbly.

@n4gix  Thats worse than here.  I don't know what these gov'ts have against "assist" bicycles.  Yesterday I watched a video that talked about a bike trail called "The Loop" where they had banned anything with a motor except wheelchairs or similar mobility scooters.  I'd hate to think I'd have to buy a 400hp mobility scooter that could 95 in a 30 mile zone 🙂

but I dont have to worry about that anymore at this moment.
