Hi,

I'm (again) trying my luck in VR  with my Quest 2 but am not too happy with the results yet.

I've found few recommended setting, eg. setting ASW mode to 30 in OTT. SOme even suggest to turn up everything to ultra, wghicj won't work for me.

One thing I am not sure with SU5 is - do we even need anyadditional programs? Further, Whenever I turn on VR, Steam Vr fires on too and I am not sure if it interferes with some of the other settings.

As AMD Radeon users are not too common in VR, maybe you could help me find suitable settings for my rig? See Specs below

Thank you!

This i found so annoying that i ditched Steam all together. Period.

If you run any Oculus there is no need to have additional software besides OTT (if you want to have a bit more control).
Locking 30 FPS in OTT doesn't work for me (yet), it's a stutterfest.

Thank you. So Steam VR is not necessary? (I noticce in Ocolus settings that it wa referring to Steam OpenXR runtime, which ould be changed but again no Idea which is the better option...)

In OTT reduce the FOV Multiplier to 0.7-0.7, it improves the smoothness and less stutters and you do not notice nothing the less FOV in Quest 2. Default Super Sampling in 1.0 too.

ASW 18 locked can give very good results,

running a 2080Ti works well with this setting,

& use the OTT performance HUD to make sure that the ASW 18 setting is actually applied,

the frame rate should remain fixed - then you have applied ASW correctly…

This should be a game depended (in profiles) setting instead of a general one.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try them.

However I think one major problem ist AMDs weakness in VR. I got Raphael Santos Ocolus panel and it's showing me - 100% headroom even with rather low settings 🤣
