  1. the reality that I’ve found with the 3090 VRAM is that it will both allocate & unallocate memory as is necessary whilst flying around an area, it will access VRAM as required, as examples, Orbx enabled Melbourne & Brisbane areas will fluctuate with my current settings between 10-16GB VRAM, of course, there are other heavy load scenarios - like iniBuilds EGLL, for example, what I note is the VRAM memory will automatically adjust to the actual circumstances encountered, it would seem that lack of VRAM notably introduces some long pauses whilst flying as memory allocation shuffles…
  2. a game changer monitor, better than expected, 3 months now, the big plus is that it is a proper monitor with all physical adjustments, it does run a pixel refresh routine every 4 hours - but that can be overridden until next opportunity, stunning MFS graphics in 34” subtly curved package 🙂 & flawless GSync Ultimate
  3. what's interesting is after installed the 12900KS, I'm generally GPU Limited with the Strix 3090 - Ultra settings 3440x1440 QD-OLED...
  4. DX12 with DLSS in latest SU10 Beta is very impressive - both CPU & GPU usage are balanced - & can fully utilise the VRAM of the 3090 in heavy sceneries... with latest Nvidia driver - all Ultra & TLOD 200, Just try Orbx Brisbane or Melbourne full packages to test...
  5. but @Fielder, which VR headset is easier to setup & use? the Reverb or the Quest 2... I've heard that the Reverb is a real hassle regarding its required software - is that true?
  6. probably a good idea to get an Asus 3090 - very well built…
  7. what’s the problem here, SU10 Beta with DX12 DLSS is actually working really well right now…
  8. what about the FeelThere version? or have I done my dough? 🙂
  9. the 12900KS makes my 3090 Strix OC GPU bound - Ultra settings at 3440x1440, the 12900 has really good single thread performance, & the 3090 Strix hums along nicely…
  10. completely agree with you, & the AIG team seem like really good people, but I decided to go with Simple Traffic for its very simple install & no hit on performance…
  11. the PMDG wing flex modelling is really neat! 🙂 & happy to have both the 700 & 800 variants, Qantas livery for the 800 - yes… & so many real world routes now possible in MFS…
  12. the easiest solution for me was to simply get LVFR AREX on sale now... I don't know why GSX MFS was not available on Simmarket...
  13. You are 100% correct I reckon that’s a wonderful way to end this thread 🙂
  14. you’ve said this before, the point is - the servers in question are the servers that you have used to deploy your very own software, so essentially they are the very servers that you actually use… sheesh!
  15. yeah, the AIG word not allowed - always vociferous, enjoy the AI that you actually have personally deployed, call me simple if you like - & at the moment Simple Traffic does it for me as well as many others, any objections?
  16. how absolutely reliable & performant is that process? are there any ‘downsides’ ?
  17. I particularly like the pointy noses of the AI native models with Simple Traffic, & it just works!
  18. Ouch, I’ll definitely pass up on this one for the moment, & would only purchase from Simmarket…
  19. waiting for GSX for MSFS on Simmarket, any ETA?
  20. 3440x1440 ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio also works very well, very happy with 34” 1800R curved Alienware next-gen QD-OLED, superb flight sim monitor…
  21. there is not at the moment a 738 available for MFS from PMDG…
  22. just hand flying - starting with engines running on runway & with standard default GNS, sometimes it has a mind of its own & goes into a kind of enforced climbing mode - I don’t know how to return to normal flight…
  23. got the updated version, this aircraft is very unstable/erratic for me - unusable, is there anything simple I can do to fix?
