Pixelated Graphics on MS2020

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

It's been a long time since I last used FS2020. Now I decided to return to it, and I was surprised by how bad the graphics are. They are quite pixelated and washed out now (see screenshot below, taken with ULTRA settings).

I heard that FS2020 is having all sorts of problems, but I could not find anything related to the problem above. Any guess about what I can do to fix it?

My specs: i7 7740 at 4.8GHz, GTX1080, 32GB RAM, 2560x1080 144Hz LG monitor.

Best regards,

Antonio

This looks like oversharpening to me... which can be turned off in the cfg file... search the forum for instructions.

Wow!  Definitely over-sharpening.  It might be turned on in the user config file, and in your GPU software, such as in Nvidia control panel or the experience filters.  That is the only time I have seen that.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Hi guys, thanks for the tips and quick response!

I tried to follow the instructions of the topic below for this oversharpening problem, but still I'm getting the same problem. Any other idea? Is there any particular setting I should try to change in my GTX1080?

Best regards

If you open Nvidia Control Panel, the settings for sharpening are the very first entry in the list. 👍

(I'd show you a screenshot but I can't for the life of me work out how to embed pics in Avsim any more!)

I tried this one as well, but no changes here. I'm not really sure if the problem is oversharpening, as I've tried all settings used by people who had the problem before, and none worked here.

Which airport is this, let us know and I'm sure several of us can take a peak.
Try doing a fresh driver install maybe just to reset your settings.

If you do not want to do that, take a screenshot of your Nvidia CP settings and post them here.
Some of that problem looks like the specific airport, but I would need to check it out.

Are you using HDR?

Do you have any weird shader mods installed, the lighting and colors look overblown.

Hi there!

See answers below:

Airport: RJCM (parking position 15)

I tried to reinstall the drivers, and didn't work. Today, NVIDIA released a new driver (471.68). I installed it (fresh install) and the problem remains.

I'm not using HDR. I had one shader installed, but it was a way to try to fix this problem. I removed it, and the problem remains.

See attached my settings (sorry, it is in Portuguese, and I could not find a place to change language here): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WVqsN3IJBafJ4OCnXHDneX0_547euSqe/view?usp=sharing

Best regards
