WeFly Works in P3D v5.2HF1??

Recommended Posts

I've had the mini pop up GPS/AP  WeFly Works Ultimate Pro 2.1 unit working successfully in aircraft in FSX & P3D, right through to P3D v4.5, including vintage airliners such as the 727 & MD-11.

It has been great for long flights.

So far I have not been able to get it to work in P3D v5 & I am wondering what changes there were between P4D v4 & v5 that might be causing this demise?

Is there another 'add on' GPS/AP unit that would fit into a range of aircraft, GA through vintage airliners?

Hi Treetops45,

I'd check your installation - I've got the WeFly GPS/Autopilot working just fine in P3D V5.2.  No idea why yours wouldn't work... so maybe just reinstall it again and see what happens ?

Which aircraft are running it ok?

Which aircraft ?  Any that I've installed it into.  I just used it in the JF DC-8.  Last time I used it was in a Carenado King Air I think.  That GPS shouldn't care which aircraft it's installed into, it's basically the default GPS with a TFC function added - and the AP is a separate item.

OK

If you don't mind I'll PM you with my Panel.cfg code & what I do in Aircraft.cfg in case you can spot an error.

Thanks

Thanks to guidance from Bunkie, I now have WeFly Works AP/GPS operating ok in v5.2HF1

The missing part was a .cab file.

Besides the code in Panel.cfg & Autopilot=1 in Aircraft.cfg, you must have

gps-autopilot.cab in the Gauges folder.

It is 557KB.

Well, ----- me!

Many thanks for that.

My original copy is buried about 3 PC's ago, so I'll grab this while it's still available, & on sale!

I always thought it was a bargain, punches way above it's weight as regards value for $.
