Problem Departing PANC RWY25L

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

Have recently picked up the PMDG B747 and 8 expansion.

My problem is that whenever i depart off RWY 25L i get to the rotate point and the aircraft won't rotate its nose lifts and then slams back down to the ground further attempts see the same thing. Trims are properly set for takeoff, the correct power is being developed.

I think its a scenery problem as i have had successful flights elsewhere but always 25L at Anchorage.  Given the directions the runways face only 33 and the 25's are real options in big aircraft.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well as a matter of interest I went and tried a take off in a heavy on 25L at PANC -stock P3D airport but ORBX Alaska for the rest.  No anomalies or issues at all. Sure the autopilot has not engaged accidentally? Wind shear or a massive tailwind might do it but looking at the weather for PANC is only light winds and cross wind at that anyway nothing that would affect a heavy at all! Don;t think it is a scenery issue! Sounds like a problem with the aeroplane it would be behave like that if the AP in neutral mode engaged during the take off run! Stabiliser setttings? or something more mundane like your joystick?

Try setting your mesh to 5m.

Unfortunately, you could also just be running into a bug in P3D that causes very long-bodied aircraft like the -8 to slam back down on to the runway.

I’ve also just experienced this issue when departing 25R. This is with Aerosoft PANC scenery.

Yeah this is a known P3D issue with regards to large aircraft like the 747, you want to change your mesh setting, 10m usually does the trick for me.

Justsim ELLX is another Airport where this problem comes up.
