P3D v5 bug report acknowledged by LM.

This morning I took a short flight from Flightbeam NZAA down to default NZWN. After landing I noticed lots of taxiway signs on the taxiway rather than on the grass. I reported it on the P3D forum and really didn’t expect to get any official response.

But to my amazement I had a reply this evening acknowledging the issue and advising it will be fixed in the next update.

So if you do find bugs please report them. I’m sure they appreciate the feedback.

Ray the best solution is to buy Flightbeam's NZWN!

I hadn’t even bothered looking Steve. 😁 A likely purchase but I’ll still check the default when the update is released.

I’m adding airports for future Concorde flights. I did manage Honolulu to Auckland a couple of years back but it’s beyond the safe fuel limit. Not bad in 4 hours though.

You might want Godzone's (Robin Corn's) NZCH Christchurch then. The Concorde visited there once or twice. Nice scenery down that neck of the woods.
YSSY to NZCH would be a nice testing ground for it!

Just as an aside, talking about FB's NZAA. Does anybody else find the runway/taxiway surfaces to be weirdly dark and scruffy?

The first time I landed there, I didn't recognise the runway as a runway and almost landed on the side tarmac, only realising when I was right on top of it.

Ian, this is what it looks like for me in v5.2HF1 with EA/HDR both OFF.

I treated myself to Christchurch and Wellington this morning. Emirates operate a 380 into Christchurch so long enough for Concorde. 👍

What’s your fuel load and destination? A 10,700ft runway would be pushing it for long haul.

Was the screenshot helpful?

Seems to have been a lighting problem. I fiddled with the settings and now it looks much better.

I will have to check my logs and come back on that.

Yes, the screenshot helped, see post below.

My last flight from NZCH was to KMIA.

Qantas 747-400 ER loaded with 185000 kg fuel, ZFW 220.1kg.

v2 182 kt.

No record of a crash on take-off!!

Previously to WSSS Fuel123907kg ZFW 237.9 v2 174.

Again successful.

I use the full length of the runway to be safe.

Yes, before the last Hotfix I also reported a problem with undocked windows not refreshing on some video cards. It got fixed immediately with the next Hotfix!
