GRUMMAN GOOSE

Hi everyone,

When I started this thread with my simple question I never expected so much response.

Thanks to those of you who provided leads to finding a quality Grumman Goose, as well as to those who provided mods that make it not just better to fly, but more stable on landing and directing it to a parking spot  and tie down on water. This is everything I wanted and more.

Thanks for this thread! I got that Mallard for P3D v5 and now I have the Goose and Widgeon in MSFS and the Mallard in P3D... NOW... if I could only find an Albatross!!! I know Khamsin has one for XP, but it's only for 10 and not 11... Is anyone aware of an Albatross for any sim?

BostonJeremy77 - The old Virtavia Albatross (HU-16) for FSX works without issues in V5.2 for me. Simmarket and a couple of others still have it available (I think). I did a dummy install (from my old FSX installation) and then created an addon xml for it. Graphics and textures are ok still has the limitations of the VC lacking a bit of functionality (a lot of dummy switches). Otherwise it is ok.

In the Grumman area the following are in my hangar and all work ok in P3DV5:

Milton Schupes Piston Grumman Mallard and Turbine Mallards, (VC Textures are a little dark but no gauge or other issues)

The OZX Grumman Goose

The Grumman Widgeon (Flysimware)

The Virtavia Grumman Albatross.
