G1000NXi Flight Plan Entry

Featured Replies

Can anyone using the new release of the G100NXi tell me how to enter a flight plan?  I used to click on FPL and scroll down to origin and begoin entering.  Now when I click on FPL I get a menu from which there is no exit to enter a flight plan,

WIth FPL open on the MFD you now have to push the inner FMS knob to activate the highlighting on the FPL page. This is true to the real thing.

We just didn't have this behavior before, because we also didn't have the page menu on the MFD.

After that scroll down to one line BELOW Origin and turn the inner knob to bring up the Waypoint page.

There, you can enter the first waypoint... etc

I got the answer.on WT's  Discord.  The problem I had is with the definition of "push" the inner knob.  You "push" the inner knob by holding down the left mouse button and then clicking the right mouse button. Not exactly intuitive. However, thanks for your help. I'm back to flying.

That is only if you have your mouse interaction set to "locked", suggest you set it back to "legacy" and your mouse clicks will work the "old way"..

Tom. Go to General Options, then Accessibility.  Find Cockpit Interaction System.  Make the change there.
