Is it possible to get the standard zoom to 60% instead of 50% as it is every time you start the simulator?
I think 60 & better matches the photos taken of the landscape.

That's not the optimal way to do it. If you set it that way then it'll be global and affect all planes. You may want to apply it to a certain plane only. Best way to do that would be editing your aircraft's camera.cfg file.

Yes, if you change it in the settings and click 'Apply changes' then it stays that way. That is what I have done for height so all my addons have a height adjustment of 54% which is perfect for me.

Please enlighten me about this: for the external views default camera zoom is 50% and default cockpit zoom is 60% for pilot front view?

Set all camera settings at default, then adjust your camera view to your liking and press Ctrl + F10, do that for all your aircraft and forget the menu settings for good, and all custom cameras will be adjusted to the same zoom level as your saved view as well.
