September 25, 20214 yr https://github.com/mSparks43/747-400/releases/tag/2.0 Special Thanks kudosi: kudosi was extremely instrumental in providing all of the complicated engine and atmospheric formulas to calculate N1, N2, EPR, and EGT for both the GE and PW engine variants. his tireless work to help model the engine behaviors was the key input needed to code the EEC module. kudosi also helped with review and testing and compared XP results to real-world 747-400 flight data to ensure a realistic experience. dyno: dyno was a great help in testing the engine variants and providing feedback on technical issues and abnormal behaviors. His efforts were greatly appreciated, especially on last-minute requests to test things prior to release. v1rota7e: v1rota7e provided valuable insight into real-world operations of a 747-400. He gave guidance on engine and EICAS behaviors, and gave feedback during test flights on where he saw things that were both good and bad from a realism point of view. jcomm: jcomm helped considerably resolving vspeed and speed tape and other behaviours which proved difficult to resolve. Everyone else: A huge thank you to all the others who helped, tested, crashed, took her for long and short hauls and filed issues when they found things awry. September 25, 20214 yr Wow ! This comes as a BIG SURPRISE, in the right time, because I am building up expectations on X-Plane's NG, and at the same time enjoying again XP11 including the new Skyscapes ! Will surely try it as soon as possible, which, due time restrictions will not happen before next Tuesday 😕 Congratulations Sparks !!! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 26, 20214 yr Nice surprise. Was any work put into better route drawing on ND? It was bonkers in the version I tried. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

Well, far from that, although I would really like to have the skills ( programming and knowledge about the details of the 744 systems ) to... Sparks is very kind in including me in the list of people who contributed to his gathering of knowledge / data allowing him to model some detailed aspects of the 744 systems, but my contribution was so minimal, mainly that of asking at a forum where a few experts really talk about this matters as if they were drinking coffee, and exchanging some PMs where I offered my view on some details, that I really think he was just too kind ! Sparks already had good knowledge about those matters and just a few doubts about how the real thing does it, doubts that I myself have these days about pretty much everything regarding details on aircraft systems... Long goes the time when I could replicate each and every detail about how this or that worked on some specific systems that enchanted me on some aircraft 🙂 These days I load a sim, look for nasty weather conditions, and go for a 15 min at max session flying a circuit around the airport .... It's an excellent achievement and dedication to the objective of modding the default 744 and rising it to a new level of detail, given the limitations of the X-Plane platform, and at the same time it's openness to programmers talents through it's SDK. I haven't yet had the chance to try this new version, but will ASAP.
