October 25, 20214 yr It's been a long time coming, but at last I can say I am flying a simulator that gives me more or less what I have always wanted in a flight sim. Since SU6, it looks fantastic! The only thing that would make things almost perfect for me, apart from top level planes from the likes of A2A etc, which will come, would be to sort out the rather annoying delayed loading of cliffs around water and an improvement on the cloud textures as I find them OK but still not that realistic, but I guess that's a personal thing. As for the morphing cliffs, I don't understand why mountains etc, don't seem to show this annoying characteristic, or when they do, it's faaaar less noticeable. I wonder what the difference is between cliffs and mountains. Is it because cliffs are generally far steeper? Or is the mesh loading differently around water tables? Dunno.. anyway, off subject a little here, just wanted to post my thoughts and say what a brilliant job is being done with the sim. Keep up the good work Asobo and continue listening to your supporters. October 25, 20214 yr Good point Howard about the cliffs and I will insert coastlines into the mix also , I fly a lot up on Vancouver Island and that is my only small complaint with the Sim .

October 25, 20214 yr I see much improved mountain and coastline morphing though, even though also before SU6 I was using LOD 400. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

In some mountainous areas the terrain morphs just as badly as the cliffs do, e.g. in Norway. In others it‘s barely visible. Generally, all the areas with low-res DEM are less affected. The cliffs suffer from an additional problem, as Seb explains in the video above. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
