Hi,

I did my registration this morning, but I can't go in.

It says:

Just wondering what sort of performance hit there will be, but I expect my system will handle it fine.

I fly VR only, leaving not much headroom for scenery hitting performance and making that immediately obvious.  I can say that there's no significant performance hit as long as you stay over or north of the Elbe river and a quite sharply limited area around the Köhlbrand bridge where performance tanks.  Which is not a surprise considering the massive amount of objects being in LOD range there. It's almost unfathomable how much the ortho photos were populated with container stacks, trucks, trailers, crispy trains populating the major port trainyards and whatnot on top of all the custom objects, to make that a complete representation like photogrammetry but without the melting and general ugliness.  This is so detailed that flying over it with a regular plane or generally faster than 50KTS just feels wrong.

You get no performance hit beholding the much improved, characteristic river waterfronts that Fischkopp restored to an appropriate glory by replacing all the sunk vessels with custom objects, you get to see the historic Rickmer Rickmers and Cap San Diego museum ships being part of Hamburg's face and also the museum harbor a short hop down the river, shoreline buildings were replaced and updated to reflect the current skyline, and generally details, details, details. That's some massive project.
