Pressing escape hangs sim - new issue

Featured Replies

This just started. When I am in flight and press the escape key it locks up the sim. The only thing I can do is Ctrl+Alt+Del and shut down the program. I had recently installed FBW a320 so thinking that might be it. Happens with multiple planes.

Reboot and retest--no problem here

That is a strange one!

I can't think what would cause that, apart from maybe having the new UI mod installed from flightsim.to, or another program running in the background that is monitoring for that specific key press.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I had installed the FBW a320 and even though I deleted the community folder content, I see that it left some debris in a couple extra folders. Deleted those too so now retesting.

Which version of the FBW mod did you install? And from where?

If it still showing in the Marketplace, do NOT install that one. Use FBW's own installer. Personally, I use the Dev version. It gets updated frequently, but the updates are well tested before being made generally available.

Okay seems to have gone away after clearing out the FBW debris.
