Hi Guys,

I noticed that from SU6 and going forward if your community folders etc are on your C drive you have to download the whole sim again..

Strange as I did put mine elsewhere..anyway, it has somehow defaulted to C drive...How do I move it all away from that or do I have to uninstall and then reinstall elsewhere...downloading over 80 odd TB everytime is a daunting prospect..

Not sure what you are saying... The Community folder does not include anything that MSFS would download.

Secondly, if you have MSFS on a separate drive, as I have, there still is a link from C drive to this drive which can look confusing.

In fact, MSFS comes with an empty Community folder and it will remain empty forever unless you place add-on files (or links) in it.

I noticed with the most recent update the default location the updater was going to use was not my current MSFS location ( a separate drive altogether G:\MSFS2020 ) but rather where the default installation location would normally try to install , i.e. my "Packages" folder which for me is located ( C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Packages )

I changed the update path to G:\MSFS2020 and it just downloaded the update. I was in the beta SU6 as well.
