November 5, 20214 yr The Just Flight DC-3/C-47 package and its expansion is worth a look. These are made by Aeroplane Heaven for Just Flight. It's very comprehensive set of aeroplanes if you like DC-3s, with pretty much every major variant in there including both Pratt & Whitney and Wright Cyclone equipped versions with the correct cowlings and so on, especially if you get the expansion pack which adds even more variants. You get a WACO glider which you can tow (in the expansion) and which is also flyable (in the main package). I would have preferred a Horsa glider personally because it was a better assault glider, but it's a a bonus either way to get the WACO. There is free a demo available of a C-47 variant you can download from the product page so you can check it out to see whether the package floats your boat. It's complete but is limited to a maximum altitude of 1,000 feet AGL, but other than that, it is a freebie. But the freebie ones are well worth a look too (Manfred Jahn etc), so be sure to try those out before spending money. If you are prepared to stretch to having a DC2 rather than a DC3, then the Flight 1 UIVER DC2 is one of the best old prop planes you can get for FSX, so you might want to look at that as well. It stands head and shoulders above all the others. It is the same one as linked above but without the third party interference. Edited November 5, 20214 yr by Reader
