I suppose I would be remiss in not underlining the fact that only one of my 4 top choices is pay ware. 

The other 3 are FREEWARE mods of the mostly deficient stock aircraft, which then result in superlative sim platforms despite the factory's initial ineptitude.

If we are talking Freeware - the Grumman Goose definitely rates a mention.

I STRONGLY recommend the Mario Noriega Designs - Caproni-Vizzola C-22J Venture

It's a tiny 2-seat twin jet engine GA aircraft and is great.
It's not the best looking plane but it's just had a substantial update and It flies brilliantly and sounds amazing and is currently 6.75€ + Tax on Simmarket (and will be coming to the in-game marketplace at some future time)

At first glance it look like just another piece of Simmarket shoverware but it's actually a true labour of love for the dev and that really shows in what he's delivered.
