Sim won't load

Featured Replies

Yesterday I was able to load the sim without issue.  Today, it gets stuck half way before getting to the main menus.  The only new things that I have done recently is run the trial of FS Realistic, AIG, and the Google Mod.  However, I have completed a full flight with those running, so I was wondering if anyone might know what could be causing the issue.

You have to clear cache in the Google maps app before loading MSFS. It should work after that, (did for me)

Worth reading the installation notes.

So after SU7, i successfully had a great flight from SFO-SBA using the FBW A320.  I was using the google mod, FS realistic (1.0.3) and AIG AI (which i still can't figure out how to work).  After the flight i went into the content manager and noticed I missed a few world updates and decided to update.  Now, I can't load the sim.  Much like before, I get stuck about half way through loading.  It freezes where it says new activities and has 3 GA planes shown.  I've tried every possible scenario while loading.... MSFS by itself, with only the google mod running, with the google mod and Traffic Controller loaded, with and without FSrealistic, and each time I get stuck.. Any ideas on what could be causing this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I cleared the cache before running it and also made sure I downloaded the version compatible with SU7

I even deleted the latest things entered into the community folder and I still get stuck at the same spot every time.  Any idea what could be causing this?  The only thing I can think of is that after my flight, there was an update to the experimental version of FBW that I updated.  Could that be a cause?

This could be hearsay but heard of the Google maps mod messing with the core sim even after you disabled it?  Not tried it myself but worth exploring I guess

I haven't heard it causing issues but I guess it could be.  The sim doesn't load even with it running or not running though so I don't know how to even really explore fixing it.

I am trying to remove Google Mod but it is saying one of the folders is in use... anyone know where the folders sit?  I run it off of my desktop but I am sure the actual folders are somewhere hidden on my PC.  Any ideas?  At this point i hope it isn't an uninstall reinstall situation.
