November 24, 20214 yr I refuse to use FaceBook - does that eliminate Oculus 2 as an option for me when flying in MSFS? November 24, 20214 yr Depends on when you bought it. Bought before Oculus became part of Facebook, you have until xxxx (sorry, don't know the date) to use your device without Facebook account. After that date, a Facebook account is mandatory. Bought after Oculus became part of Facebook, a Facebook account is needed. So if you can run it today without Facebook account, you should be good until xxxx. When it becomes mandatory for everyone, you could create a Facebook account and just use it for the Oculus headset to work. I also did read already (once and without confirmation) that Facebook would push the date forward in time, giving you more time before it's mandatory, true or not, time will tell. November 24, 20214 yr I believe all Quest 2 headsets require a facebook login. Initially FB were very strict on ensuring you use your real details, but it now seems second/ third accounts with random info seem to be accepted. Apparently the headset can now be activated using some kind of enterprise account if you are sharing multiple headsets amongst multiple users
November 25, 20214 yr regardless whether it requires any form of activation, the mere fact it requires installing an application with admin-access privileges on the computer is maybe even more problematic, if you're concerned with how they'd use your data, than just using a FB account...
