The Revert Back to Prior Version Assist...

Featured Replies

Can anyone point me in the Assist Options Menu, to the Revert Back To Previous SU.x Version feature?

Which section is it under...I can't seem to find it.  I had a PERFECT application of MSFS with SU6--->...FPS was great,  no major in your face bugs, blowouts, and CTD's.  Just great simming...

Thanks in advance...my gawd, it has got to be on that Assist Option page SOMEWHERE.  My aging eyes can't seem to nail it....

Arent you the one constantly spamming these forums with threads that praise how wonderful MSFS is, in the last few days even with statments that DX12 is already near perfect and a "guide" how to get FPS back? Now this? Little advice from my side: sometimes it is more appropriate to think before opening a new thread...

Other than that, I guess nobody really have to answer your theoretical question...

Greetings, Chris

I saw your handle AnkH...and knew this would be a criticism post.  But that aside, yes...I like features...yes...but as I stated, if you cared to read...that with SU6, I had no MAJOR bugs...and that I LIKED the visuals as they were,  and if I COULD, I certainly would revert back to a STABLE version...where settings don't revert to whatever...and that some planes I have,  CTD...and that yes, I find some benefits to DX12...but never said that I was not happy with DX11...so what's your angle?  My post used a venue of humor, to state that I would PREFER to run still SU6 if I could....but again as soon as I saw your handle...I knew it would be caustic....and expected no less from you...kinda like a sort of spamming of my thread, yourself...lol!

BTW,  most, I say most people would discern I was not looking for an answer to a feature we all know does not exist...it was tongue-in-cheek.  One needs to be able to parse that in the reading, I guess....and oh, BTW, PLEASE highlight where I posted that DX12 is 'near perfect' and not merely that I found aspects of it I like.  "...near perfect?"  Since you took the effort and energy to post some of my threads as embedded quotes to infer them as SPAMing of the forum...how 'bout posting that copy?  Please do...

If not, your perception of what I actually do post and type in this, or any other AVSIM forum...is to me, yes...merely spam, on its own merit...

Cheers,

Ses

Ses,

I didn't experience any performance quirks with SU7, and actually it even appeared to perform even smoother than SU6, but I did find problems with weather depiction and "feel of flight" of the new Reno Air Races props, so I decided to wait for te already mentioned "gliders" and their associated weather and activities ( I believe those will arrive with the gliders ), and meanwhile my best revert back was P3D v5.2 HF2 🙂

MFS is great in various aspects, not quite like so in others, leaves something to be desired in yet other areas, just like every other sim I have used... They try their best, I guess... that I have to admit.

I can only suggest that you patiently wait for the next update and see how it goes. Meanwhile, try to enjoy the other platforms you also have. And... be careful with those "Black Friday" temptations 🙂

All the Best,

  😎

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

the only real issue i see is weather depiction , cloud bases too low.

Humour DOES not travel well, even WHEN it is amusing.

Hello J,

My revert back jest only was to wish that one could stay with a version (like P3D/XP11) that one really likes...for whatever reason,   but on the whole, I don't find anything 'fatal' as a user with GOTY, just that I had a truly bug-free (for my usage) MSFS, with SU6, and of course with GOTY, bugs started buzzing with the first being a total reset and continuing reset of all my Assist (Hard (custom) to Easy...stuff like that, that I now have to spend time on, rather than KNOWING that I only have to tap the go button and I'm off.  Just stuff like that...  Others post as 'vent' post, and I usually try to channel 'vent' with humor...it keeps the ulcer and heart doctor away...lol.   So that's mostly it...   I'm sure a HotFix will come, and away we go again until SU8 and on.  Did you go crazy yet with the Black Friday deals?  If so...enjoy.  Happy Holidays...   BTW, I stopped in at Marks Wear (a clothing store) and the place was NUTS with buyers (I guess pent up C-19 drill) grabbing anything that had a fabric count.  I stood in line to cash out for 30 minutes, it was that long....and oh...forget Social Distancing....everybody was wearing a mask, but were standing exactly one after the other in the days before we had to add a C and the number 19 to our daily lives. The place was a mad house!   Geez...and now, here we go with the Omicron from South Africa....they are talking about locking down the international borders again between the U.S. and Canada...so...MSFS will again, get a really good workout.  I can fly over the border...and wiggle my hands in my ears...and say; "Nah, naaaaaa, naaaaa, nanna...na!"   Borders (?)....what borders...ain't no borders in the air column......unless 5 F-15's surround my C172 Amphib, and say; "Follow us...down...DO NOT divert...".  Yeah...perhaps that...could be a hidden feature in  GOTY...you only have to trigger it...LOL!

Cheers!
