November 30, 20214 yr FSDG announces Landmarks of Germany, with thousands of VFR-friendly landmarks and POIs for MSFS. It’s a new product line for VFR. Germany has already seen a free update with World Update VI. FSDG seeks to improve Germany’s landscapes beyond what is available. In its entirety the global product will add more than 2000 objects throughout the country, FSDG starts with Baden-Württemberg, with more than 270 structures. Even if they combined the smaller Saarland and the three city states into their respective neighbouring federal states, you would still need to buy 12 packages in total. Feels like FranceVFR's method of selling scenery by administrative région, rather than Orbx's 'here's a large percentage of a country' covered by TrueEarth. Agree, it does look a great. The Naumburg Cathedral (World Cultural Heritage) is missing. The Ulm Cathedral with the highest steeple of the world is missing. My home town has its church but that's via an addon. I didn't fly that much in Germany since the update (shame on me) but I don't recall having seen a church outside of the PG cities yet. FSDG says that small states will either be combined in packages or sold at lower prices, so don’t extrapolate a final cost based on the first version. The final version will be many months expensive as you think.
