December 5, 20214 yr Commercial Member FS2Crew Friends, It's weekend update time! 1. Our new Product Manager is complete and we're doing some final tests before releasing next week, but it looks good to go. The big advantage of the Product Manager is it notifies you when updates are available for your FS2Crew MSFS products. As you know, we've been updating FBW and PBE a lot over the last while. Our new Product Manager will make things a lot simpler for you. It's basically the same idea as the FBW A32NX Installer. However, we're not doing separate DEV versions, but when an update is available, you'll see UPDATE buttons in yellow appear for your product. You click the button and the product will download and the installer will auto trigger. It's quite good. You wont have to come back to our Support Forum to see if updates are available. The Product Manager has an auto run option, so, if desired, the app can check for updates every time you start your computer. 2. For PBE, many users requested that we replace the marshaller model used to identify the taxiway line in DISTANCE PUSHBACK with something easier to use (or see). We've done that. We now have a large arrow graphic that visually shows you the final aircraft heading during pushback. It also has night lighting. You'll see it next week. You'll like it! B. December 5, 20214 yr Bryan, Can you add a feature that will save all settings rather than having us go through the setup every time you release a new version of FBW? Not really possible. We deliberately over-write user settings (which are saved on a cfg file in appdata) with each update because sometimes cfg files that store settings can become corrupt. For example, what should save as a 4 could somehow be saved as 444 or some other garbage number. It's Windows. Stuff like this can happen. Refreshing the user settings file with the original factory version is the only we can get users who ever experience that problem back to normal (by re-installing and resetting). Besides, resetting your settings takes like 20 seconds. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

It'll make people lives a lot easier, and help ensure user get updates. A lot of FS2Crew owners will never come to this support forum or our Facebook page. This helps ensure their software stays current. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

Funny that other developers seem to have another opinion about this. But OK, this (not saving settings) is like going back to the early 90's 🙂 I could understand that during beta developing you would not save settings, but not during this stage. Where you state that everybody should use the latest beta version, you made every user a beta tester, something I don't like to opt or volunteer for. So i will stay with the current (beta) version and wait for the finished product. December 5, 20214 yr Author Commercial Member No problem. Installing updates are not mandatory. However, we're always dreaming up new things and we want to get them out asap. That's why we've been releasing a ton of smaller updates over the last several months, rather than making users wait (maybe months and months) for the official V1.1 or V1.2 as the case may be. December 7, 20214 yr Good news for the product manager interface, can I ask will the update on the 12th include the ability to resize the panel, I drag mine to a second monitor and it half filled the screen, I know I can minimise it but I’m not as yet confident enough to hide the information.

Remember the panel will auto expand and contract depending on which panels you want shown (ie., Info Center, Assist, etc). The panel can therefore be very big or it can be very small. Also, on the Settings panel, there is a slider that says "Panel Size". You can adjust the panel size via the slider. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
