I have issues with the pimarc GNS 530 mod - when I add an RNAV procedure to a flightplan and activate it the aircraft flies to the IAF as expected but just before getting there the active flightplan is deleted.  I don't see this behavior in the default version but perhaps I am missing something here.  The mod adds a lot but this oddity is annoying.  Anyhow if this is just a case of user error I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.  Thanks.

I believe you are referring to all of the previous waypoints (not the approach waypoints) being deleted?  As I recall, this was necessary to get rid of the "U-Turn Bug":

U-turn bug: The airplane operates a 180° turn to come back to the last enroute waypoint if you activate an approach after the last enroute waypoint. I implemented a workaround in this MOD that consists of removing all enroute waypoints before activating the approach.

This keeps your aircraft from erroneously turning around and flying back to the previous waypoint before proceeding with the approach.

No all the waypoints seem to be deleted - there is nothing left the flightplan just disappears. This all seems to work normally in the default with no u-turn bug - I think there were some fixes to the default 530 in one of the recent updates but it is still a bit clumsy to work with compared with the mod apart from the RNAV thing.

This is all a work in progress.. and you will have to be patient until it all sorts itself out..

I have high hopes for SU8, but we'll see when we get there 🙂

In the meantime, the G1000 NXi shows what the future holds..
