RESET CAMERA VIEW SCREWED UP

Featured Replies

Hi all. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why, when I activate RESET COCKPIT CAMERA VIEW, it goes to some weird up position. I checked in general/camera settings and the parameters are all set to 50.

Any ideas what has gone wrong?

Thanks.

Did you change your keyboard profile recently?

nope. At first I thought the problem was somewhere due to me using Spad.neXt and vJoy, so I set a RESET COCKPIT CAMERA VIEW button from within the sim and it still doesn't work properly, even with Spad.next shut down. So I know the problem is something is set wrong in the sim but I'm stumped.

I even set a button for VFR PILOT VIEW SAVE, restarted the sim (which by the way starts with the correct cockpit view), hit the button for the VFR save, and then hit reset cockpit view, and it still went to some zoomed view of the upper portion of the cockpit window.

Seems really strange since when the sim starts the initial view is correct. But RESET COCKPIT VIEW doesn't take me back there when I invoke it.

Please, hopefully someone knows how to help me with this.

Well, in reference to my above post, I could not get anything to fix my issue so I bit the bullet and uninstalled and reinstalled all of the sim and it solved the problem. Still don't know what the problem was but at least it's in the past.

Unless Asobo change how the sim is going to be developed in the future I would say no. That's not just my view but what P42 are currently saying.

AMD 9800X3D,  NZXT X73 RGB AIO COOLER, Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7, 64GB 6000MHZ RAM, 4TB Samsung Pro NVME, 4 TB Crucial P3+ NVME, 4TB Crucial SSD, Gigabyte Gaming OC Geforce RTX5090, Antec C8 ARGB Case, X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, LG 4K C4 42" TV/Monitor 120 Hz, 2 Dell 1080 monitors. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. Moza AB6 FFB Joystick, Pimax Crystal Light VR, Tobii Eye tracker, Steelseries Arctis 7+ Wireless Headphones.

I think you accidentally set one of the view options.

There's a couple of settings that do things like always point the view at a POI or another aircraft. I think they're called smartcam or something like that.

i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
