Head Shake Plugin

Featured Replies

Does anyone here know the X-Plane plugin "head shake"?

Many of the effects we have with FSRealistic but especially the Taxi Look Ahead is fantastic.

For the simmers who don't know X-Plane and the plugin (from the website):

While taxiing, the view turns based on the rudder input and the aircraft direction. This feature is highly configurable and allows the pilot to lean forward to get a better view of the outside.

I wonder if this could be possible somehow with the MSFS camera system. As far as I could find out, there is no solution yet.

Intel Core i7-11700F, mainboard MSI MPG B560I GAMING EDGE WIFI (MS-7D19), 32 GB DDR4 SDRAM, RTX3070, no OC for CPU, RAM or GPU, XMP off. MS Store version, default installation path on a 1 TB NVMe 4x 8 GT/s

TrackIR does this. Looks where you're looking, lean forward and back for a better view. I can even stick my head out the window if I really have to see something.

Thanks a lot, I'll look into that.

Track IR is good but it does not have camera (Pilot head, and Aircraft) visual shake something serious lacking in MSFS during takeoff and landings.

Does it have an impact on FPS in any way?  Contemplating the idea of getting me one, I have a strong CPU but my video card is not hi-end (by today's standards), handles the sim quite well so I'm quite happy with it for now.

I don't have a problem using TrackIR and don't notice any appreciable loss of frame rate. But anything and everything you add into the simulator impacts its performance. Once you find a profile and tweak it to your specs it is hard to fly without it. Even with Chaseplane in P3D I used TrackIR exclusively. That was also using a GTX 1070.

TrackIR isn't a camera and it isn't made to shake your head; it's made to track head movement and it does that quite well. I'm not familiar with FS Realistic but I believe that's the program type you want, not TrackIR.

Anyone know how to stop the aircraft shake in msfs?  It creates some pretty weird effects, and I would rather just not use it.
