Updrafts and downdrafts are modeled over ridges in MSFS, it's part of the FS Academy VFR lesson: Not sure about updraft thermals for mountains though, I never tested this. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
December 29, 20214 yr MSFS has ridge lift, to get thermals you need the Touching Cloud add-on Kinetic Assistant https://msfs.touching.cloud/mods/kinetic-assistant/ Not real cloud generating thermals but the best that can be done until Asobo add thermals to the weather engine. ...
