No but it does come with a launch simulation.

Yes but that only takes it up to a couple thousand feet?

You can select what altitude.... I think mine said 8000 ft max or something.

I'll probably just use slew in a pinch.

Yes, its 7000 maximum however it will cut out at 2000feet. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Yeah you need to keep the little airplane icon within the bullseye as you climb.  Look at that blue tablet thing in front of you.  Keep the plane white (it turns red when you're out of alignment and will detach)

Yes, that's what I've been trying to do but it seems to cut out, hmm, I must be doing something wrong. Its been a loong while since my soaring days, will experiment later today.

I double checked, my assistance options are "True Life". I also checked from exterior view when turning, the rudder was not moving unless I gave input. While it currently flies somewhat unrealistically to me (again, could by my setup), it's a fantastic start. I could probably change my rudder sensitivity or something and tune it in, but I don't want to mess with my power flying.

I'm really pleased with it overall because I can see the potential. Great work to all those involved in making this happen - and for free! I highly recommend to anyone interested in soaring to give it a shot.

I can't really cpomment because I am unable to test - no MFS here at all - but just wanted to comment on the following, although the closest I've flown to the Discus 2c was the Cobra 15:

- The longer than usual landing run is welcomed since in many simulators, Condorsoaring included due to the rather simplified ground physics, it is always too short compared to RL, but I would hae to test it myself...

- The need for less rudder is typical of this gliders.

Would be interested to see the performance ( Polar ) tests with and without ballast... as well as the stability characteristics at varying CoGs, very sensible in this type of glider, ending towards the unstable or neutrally stable side of the "curve".
