Still No Joy with C208B Reverse Prop

Featured Replies

Ever since SU7 I've lost the ability to bind any control to reverse the prop in the C208B.  I did receive some suggestions but none of them worked.  After today's update (which listed a reverse throttle fix) I had.high hopes but they were immediately dashed on the first attempt, so it may have been for another aircraft.

This is not a big issue as regular braking can handle many situations with the C208B, but it's always disappointing when something that used to function now doesn't.  I have the Thrustmaster T.16000M with TWCS - I used to assign the prop reverse to a button on the TWCS. I have now tried reprogramming on the TWCS, other buttons, buttons on the joystick, keyboard assignments and a slider on the joystick.  Any ideas?

I just set toggle reverse thrust on the Kodiak, about to make my first landing, will see how that works.

Just landed, it works on the Kodiak. Hit the toggle thrust button and forward on throttle controller, causes throttle in sim to go into beta. Hi he toggle again, and back to normal. You have to make sure throttle is always at zero, before trying to reverse.

I don't know what the reverse throttle bug was, worked fine for me in the TBM prior to the latest patch. Still works. Maybe because I am using Throttle 1 axis instead of the general throttle axis?

Well, I stand corrected.  I restarted FS and went back into the control settings, only to find that my assignment for toggle reverse throttle had been removed!  I reinstated it, saved the profile and, voila! - I have reverse throttle/prop active again.

So, it looks like they indeed resolved the issue, but for some reason my bindings got erased on the first go.

does the prop feather work now? I should be able to use my honeycomb bravo prop lever to feather the prop after engine shut down without having to move the lever by mouse..

I know it can work thru FSUIPC but it should work natively.. they have control mappings for it already.. just that those dont work as of SU7..

I haven't tried assigning it - my peripherals aren't as sophisticated as your Honeycomb.  I simply grab it with the mouse, as you mentioned.  I might give it a try later today and see if it responds.

Guys, how does this work for multi engine throttle setups? Do you have to assign a toggle reverse button for each engine, or does a single toggle activate all throttle axis' at once?
