Flying FBWA320 with Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo

Featured Replies

Anyone using their honeycomb setup to fly the FBWA320? Could you please tell me how your experience with it is? Does the Bravo throttle quadrants work well with it and if so is there a video tutorial showing us how to set it up and get the most from the FBWA320 using these devices.

hi

yes the bravo throttle works well in the fbw a32nx

but you must configure your throttles in the efb in the fbw a320

on fbw discord they explain how to do this try this link  https://docs.flybywiresim.com/fbw-a32nx/

make sure you click on overview scroll down throttle calibration link

hope you get sorted

Thanks, but I was wondering if I can set up the levers on the Bravo like in this video. Notice he is using the throttle levers for engines 1+2 from the General Aviation pack. This matches up with the airbus throttles. Since I don't own the airbus throttle levers, I was wondering if I could use the ones from the general aviation pack like he did in his video with the FBWA320?

Also having a difficult time getting the exterior lights to work. Whenever I turn the switch on for my landing lights, the taxi lights also seem to come on. Can someone please post me a screenshot of how they exactly setup their exterior lights to work correctly with FBWA320 on the Honeycomb Alpha?

Also following the throttle calibration guide. I keep getting this message 'Reverser Full (-1.00) overlaps with Reverser Idle (-1.00)

Which detent on the bravo is Reverser Idle? Is that the same as Idle? Seems like I can't skip 'Reverser Idle' setting.

Also I don't have dedicated rudder pedals. So how am I suppose to steer the plane while on the ground? What's the best way to accomplish this through the Honeycomb Alpha? Since the latest dev version of FBWA320, it seems like autorudder must be set to off for the plane to work.

Another issue is how am I suppose to bind ARM SPOILERS? My spoilers lever axis is working fine, however not sure how I am suppose to arm them without having to manually use the mouse to do it.

I have assigned the GA flap switch to arm spoilers. Works like a charm.

use the regular spoiler on the bravo for reducing air speed during descent.

For exterior lights you may need to get fsuipc to access LVars which are custom variables that control aircraft switches etc.

Yes I am using that guide to setup the different detents and reversers, but I'm not using the commercial levers. Look at the picture I posted above. I am using the levers from the GA package as those look more and resemble the real life Airbus ones. Since I don't own the Honeycomb Airbus levers, I am using those instead, and those levers do not have the switch and lock mechanism like the commercial levers do. So I was wondering if that would be an issue?

The Idle, Reverser Idle and Reverser Full detents got me confused. Seems like the engine idle and reverser idle detents are located at the same location on the bravo? Does this mean I just skip setting the reverser idle and only set the regular engine idle and reverser fulls?
