Forgive me if this is answered somewhere and I know live traffic is currently a bit of a mess with lack of departing traffic, but is ga traffic just completely missing at parking for small airports?

I fly mostly ga and when I first got the game in aug 2020 my home field (KLOM, near Philly) was bustling with planes.

Then, I had weird issues and aerobatic varieties would only show at small fields (sometimes only the jsl plane). I tried to diagnose looking at config files but they would all accurately say they “should” show. 

About 4 months ago I had a separate photogrammetry issue that made the game unplayable and I reinstalled windows and a full reinstall of msfs. A clean install of everything did wonders and I’m having fun again. 

However, most small airports have absolutely nothing going on on the ground except for line crew and trucks weirdly traversing taxiways. I flew klom to kmqi (dare county) and notta when I landed. Live traffic seems to work in the air as there are usually a handful of planes that I zip by en route. Ie traffic works in the air and shows up on my garmin traffic page plus mfd  

Major fields seems to have airliners at the gates and actual ga planes parked as well just nothing at smaller fields. Anyone have any intel here? I’m thinking this is localized to me since I really can’t find anyone else complaining about the issue, just not really sure what to do. 
 

 

I gave up on live traffic after trying it twice, no traffic, no GA, and nothing on smaller airports. Useless. 

It could be that the parking spots are too small for the planes to spawn.

Really, only twice? That's stilly. If everyone gave up only after trying something twice nothing would get done in this world.

That doesn’t make sense though since the first version had lots of planes at klom. Feel free to spawn there and see if you see anything.

Lots of GA planes scattered around the airport parking spots.

You might want to check your traffic settings.

K thank you. Don’t think it’s a setting. I’ll triple check but just don’t have any aircraft in parking spots at small airports. Maybe something I’m missing. 

Are you running live traffic or AI traffic? Any traffic addons (AIG, etc.)? Multiplayer, etc.?

 

Increase "Ground Aircraft Density", I have mine set at 30, and I have GA parked at all smaller airports.

Looked at options. It’s real time online with all settings at 100 for both vr and pc. Ultra on variety. 
 

interestingly vr has a “grayed out” setting that pc doesn’t have under “real time online”, general aviation traffic (also 100 but doesn’t matter). 
 

if I go to ai traffic, it still doesn’t matter. Empty airports galore. 

As  Ixoye suggested, set your Ground Aircraft Density to 30 - 100 and see if that brings back the parked GA at smaller airports.
