January 31, 20224 yr I just purchased this airport by SimAddOns and want to give it a big thumbs up. This is a very well done airport. It's located on Vancouver Island in some beautiful terrain. Location is such that nearby airports such as CYAZ Tofino are jus a short hop over the mountains or Vancouver to the southeast. South of there is Tacoma Narrows. To the north but further away is Bella Coola another flight over beautiful country. There's a lot of great short flights from CYQQ. This will be my base airport for awhile.
January 31, 20224 yr It's amazing that no 3rd party dev has done a good version of CYYJ yet (Victoria International Airport). I think there would be a lot of interest from Western Canadians, and even some Americans living in the northwest, if a good CYYJ were done by a 3rd party dev. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

January 31, 20224 yr Author ForeFlight has 12 approached, 3 departures. I did a flight there this morning and no approaches in the fms. For the ILS I selected a way point 10+ miles out, did a procedure turn to pick up the localizer. It is both a military and civil airport....I believe there is scheduled service there.
