My Auto pilot is broken

Featured Replies

My auto pilot is still not working, was hoping the update would fix it but it still isn't working!

This happens on all planes!

My problem is that I can't engage it!  I can turn the auto pilot on and turn the alt hold on but can't turn the nav hold or the approach mode on.

I tried using the keyboard no luck there either.

Thanks

We cannot magically determine which aircraft you are trying to use the autopilot for. they all work differently. So maybe provide this information to us ?

Sorry if I say things known to you but you are kind of new here so...  going back to basics

- are you tuning your navigation radio on a frequency of a VOR which is in range  ?

- is the angle of your flight not too wide vis-à-vis the radial you try to catch ?

If you are new to navigation instruments, you will find good infos in here

Have you tried every single aircraft?
Some aircraft don't even have autopilot, and there are quite a lot of different implementations of autopilot between those who have.
It would help if you can mention a single aircraft you have issues with so we can focus on that.

You say it doesn't work with the keyboard. Do you normally use a mouse in the virtual cockpit or are you using another device?
Can you at least enable heading hold? If Nav mode doesn't work than you might not have tuned the radio correctly (or at all).

The type of hardware you are using might help.

Pick an aircraft and tell us the exact procedure you use to enable the AP.

Start the engines with CTRL E - that should enable all avionics except the AP

Then click whatever AP enable switch on the a/c.

Then click it off - do you hear a tone or anything?  If you hear a tone, the AP was enabled.

Well now I'm just a little bit embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been fighting this for a quite awhile!

When I click the buttons, they don't say there on (BUT I NOW SEE THAT IT IS CHANGING ON THE GLASS COCKPIT!!

It might be right yet, but I can fly with my autopilot again.

Thanks for your comments and feedback.
